The AntiDiet Weightloss, Nutrition & Wellness Course

How to lose weight and keep it off without dieting

run by Leading Nutrition and Behaviour Change Expert Siri Steinmo

There’s a reason why thin people never diet…

Diets don’t work.

This is not a diet. I am opposed to diets because diets are like New Year’s Resolutions – people never stick to them. I see diets as part of the problem. You go on a diet, lose weight, come off the diet and put it all back on again.

And it’s an emotional rollercoaster. Dieting is hard work because it’s all about depriving yourself of things you like and it’s depressing seeing yourself putting the pounds back on and realising it was all a waste of time.

Which is why I have created the AntiDiet. It’s a way to learn about how to make lasting and effective changes to your lifestyle and be happier, fitter and healthier.

The AntiDiet Weight Loss and Wellness course is a chance for you to lose some weight and increase your fitness by gaining the skills you need to maintain the body you want. We employ the latest scientific research on how to make healthy, sustainable changes that mean you can keep the weight off and not feel like you are constantly depriving yourself. It is guided by up-to-date research on the science of behaviour change, which inspires permanent, positive improvements and is packed with simple nutrition and fitness tools for busy lives.

Who is it for?

Anyone who wants to learn about fitness and nutrition for fat loss – especially those who have tried every diet going and keep coming back to square one… you are not alone! This course will give you a kick-start into the behaviour modifications you need to lose fat and get fitter, but it is not for people who want a ‘detox’ or a ‘bootcamp’.

Why should you sign up?

You will walk away a few pounds lighter, a lot fitter and with a toolkit for on-going weightloss and confidence. You will gain awareness of your relationship to food and learn how to manage eating behaviour. You will receive useful information on nutrition and how to eat, how to exercise effectively and safely and most importantly how to use behaviour change techniques and tools to effectively integrate meaningful change into real life.

Where do you sign up?

The next course starts in February 2017. Please contact MFB for further information.

What does it involve?

The course involves an optional 1to1 initial assessment with me, Siri Steinmo – a specialist in behaviour change, fitness and nutrition for fat-loss. During this session your weight, BMI, body fat and other measurements will be taken and your lifestyle, diet and personal goals will be discussed. Together you will put together a plan for some initial tweaks and changes including which MFB classes you should be attending for your goals.

The course runs as 8 x 1½ hour sessions, once a week for 8 weeks. In each session you will take part in an instructor-led metabolic conditioning (i.e. fat-burning) workout and then a seminar on various aspects of fitness and nutrition. Topics include setting the record straight on carbs, training effectively for fat loss, and the psychology of eating.

Each session will also involve weekly goal setting and review, so you will need to be able to commit to the changes you need to make to actually make weight loss happen. It is important to know that the sessions are not just nutrition lectures. This would be pointless, as research (and anecdotal evidence) tells us time and time again that knowing we should do something does not make us do it. So yes, you will be held somewhat accountable each week, but if you want to see weight loss, you’ve got to make changes! We will help you get there.
